Hello, hello!

My name is Ariel, and I am positive that if you are here you already know that I’m an elopement, wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Portland, Oregon.

I fell in love with photography when I was in middle school and really pursued photography by taking classes in high school. But like so many other creatives before me, I told myself that if I were to make my passion my paycheck, it would burn out the love I had for this craft. Well, aren’t I just a huge sucker. Choosing a different path, I pursued a career behind the chair as a hair stylist for nearly a decade. The pull of photography was still so strong, so I took a leap of faith and started shooting again in 2017. And here we are.

  • I love to adventure around the Pacific Northwest. A few of my favorite places are the Olympic Peninsula in Washington, the Painted Hills in Central Oregon and pretty much anywhere on the Oregon Coast. Though Cape Kiwanda has a special place in my heart.

  • Straight up seltzer water is disgusting and you cannot change my mind. I will, however, still drink it if there are no other options.

  • I am a level 4 wood elf

  • I have three tattoo’s (and counting)

  • I have a perfectly healthy obsession with my dog, Roxy.

  • I like iced tea, but hate iced coffee.

  • I enjoy spicy ramen in every single season because it is a perfect meal.

  • My favorite in entertainment/education/etc is:

  • I’ve lived in Hawaii, Washington, and Oregon. (My time in Hawaii and Washington spanned less than a year, so does it really count? I don’t know, you tell me.)

Associate Photographers.

Are you a photographer? I am looking to add associate photographers to my roster! Not only do I believe in building up my community of photographers, I also love to be able to refer clients in case I am already booked for dates they need. Having a reliable second shooter is always a good thing too!

If this sounds like gravy to you, hit that “Book” button and let’s connect over a drink!

AJP Official Mascot.

If you haven’t met her yet, this is my best girl Roxy. I adopted her in 2012, and while I joke that she’s got the face only a mother could love… I am that mother, and I love her dearly.

She loves to lay in the sunshine, take luxuriously long naps and follows me with untrusting eyes when I move about the house as if I’m going to leave her any moment and never return. It’s safe to say though, that I am just as obsessed with her as she is with me.
